    The Asharqia Chamber presents you with its best regards and informs you that it has received the letter of the Council of Saudi Chambers No. (42100551) and the date of (10/2/1442 AH), in which the letter of the Ministry of Commerce is referred to No. (06061) dated (2/4/1442), which includes reference to the letter of the Saudi Commission For specifications, standards and quality of specifications and laboratories No. (486 / P) dated (29/1/1442), which includes the approval of His Excellency the Minister to stop the procedures for clearing vehicles received from companies that did not submit their supply plan for the year 2020 AD, as well as a reference to Saudi Standard No. (2864) for According to the Saudi Standard for Fuel Economy (SaudiCafe) for light vehicles added to the Kingdom (2016-2020), which began to be applied on (3/21/1437) corresponding to (1/1/2016). Whereas there are (14) companies that did not abide by the supply plan according to Standard Specification No. (2864) of the Saudi Fuel Economy Standard (SaudiCafe) for new light vehicles knowing that the list is constantly updated according to the manufacturers' experiences according to the list shown on the website (www.sls.gov.sa).

    ​Note that this temporary ban applies to new light vehicles weighing no more than 3.5 tons.
